Bowland Brewery started life as a microbrewery but as demand grew has moved to larger premises at Holmes Mill.
Bowland Beer Hall is our tasting tap with 42 hand pulls oferring a minimum 24 cask ales, food options, and regular live music.
Our core range of cask beers continues to expand and now features Buster IPA (4.5%), Pheasant Plucker (3.7%), Cromwell Stout (4.5%) and the best seller Hen Harrier (4.0%), amongst others.
In addition we have seasonal beers.
Scheduled brewery tours run on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 4.00pm.
Two options:
- Tour and tasters: 45 minute tour and explanation of our brewing process along with a pint or 3 thirds of Bowland ale
- Tour, tasters and tucker: as above but with a meal served in the Beer Hall.
We can also arrange tours for groups of 15 or more at other times by prior arrangement.

The Blackburn Beer and Gin Festival is a three-day beer festival with more than 60 real ales and a selection of street food. Expect the best line-up of music featuring some great local talent, including solo artists and bands. You can even watch some rugby matches on Saturday and Sunday with a great beer.
