Colchester Brewery started selling in 2012 creating real ale using traditional methods, and in particular the double-drop brewing process.

Our policy is to brew memorable beers by using double-drop brewing and with the development of old-style fer

Beers

We offer a wide range of beers split over our stock beers always available to retro and monthly specials.

Beer Styles: Amber Ales, Bitters, Blonde Ales, Brown Ales, Golden Ales, Mild Ales, Pale Ales, Porters and Stouts

Shop

We sell directly to the public in firkins, polypins, and 500ml bottles by appointment only.

We have five stock brews that are usually available - Colchester No.1, Metropolis, Sweeney Tood, AKA Pale and Jack Spitty. Our regular retro-style beers and specials will be available from time to time.
